LONGMAN DICTIONARY OF CONTEMPORARY POL-ANG, ANG-POL



Dictionary, developed by a team of experienced authors, includes the most current, most frequently used English words and phrases that occur in everyday conversations, in formal situations, correspondence and literature.
For each entry are English Polish counterparts, the division of syllables, phonetic transcription, grammatical information, links frazeologiczne and examples taken from authentic texts.
Especially for Polish dictionary was expanded to include rules for the use of words and other information based on a study of errors committed by students, and consultations with the Polish teachers.


This dictionary contains:
Over 46 000 words and phrases, the meanings of more than 63 000 and 22 000 examples of the use of words in English sentences
More than 40 tables, with explanations of the rules of grammar, especially difficult for the Poles
A list of the most useful idioms and irregular verbs
List of false friends - a list of words that both languages have similar form, but differ in meaning
Phonetic transcription of each entry
