What's new in AutoCAD 2009

Ribbon

The ribbon interface increases overall drafting productivity - the same command can now be run using the smaller number of steps. The ribbon commands are presented in a visually clear, and you quickly choose those that are required for ongoing work. Moving between applications is now faster and more intuitive. Ribbon can be upgraded and adapted to user requirements and the company.

ViewCube ™ and SteeringWheels ™

ViewCube is an interactive tool used to rotate and orient any solid or surface model in AutoCAD. Selecting a face, edge or corner of the cube brings the model quickly to that predefined orientation. Clicking and holding the ViewCube can freely rotate the model in different directions. Since the cube is always in the same part of the screen, you can quickly find out the orientation of the object. ViewCube feature will be introduced in all Autodesk products as a common tool to manipulate 3D models.

SteeringWheels new tool provides quick access to the orbit command, panoramic view, measure and zoom. This tool is highly customizable, can add walk through commands to help create and record a walk through of your model.

Menu Browser

View and working with several files is no longer a tedious and time-consuming. The new menu browser lets you view thumbnails of files and detailed information about file size and file creator. In addition, you can organize recently used files by name, date or title.

Recorder

The new action recorder saves time and increases productivity by automating repetitive tasks. Complex tasks can be performed without the aid of CAD manager specialist higher skills. Window layers
